Taking responsibility for the environment of tomorrow—today! As a leading producer of C4-chemicals, we take the principle of sustainability very seriously.
For us, sustainability means conserving natural resources so that we do not just satisfy our needs today, but also for generations to come. This is why we continuously develop our products and processes further to increase their efficiency and effectiveness, doing our part for sustainability.
An example of this is the outstanding yield of our integrated C4 production network at the Marl site, which is unique in the world: All the hydrocarbons present in the C4 cut are recylced in order to save resources. The principles of the global Responsible Care initiative and the sustainable development concept are also an integral part of our corporate guiding principles and culture. All units of the Business Line have been certified and operate under a quality and environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN 14001, and the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme.
