Customer event in Japan a great success

In mid-May, the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC) took place in Sapporo in Japan. Numerous manufacturers and customers from the petrochemical industry attended the major international conference. As a producer of the oxo-alcohols isononanol (INA) and 2-propylheptanol (2-PH), Performance Intermediates is a major supplier and partner in the sector. “The APIC is a wonderful opportunity for us to speak with our customers and to discuss with them the general market developments,” says Roland Pietz, head of Evonik’s Oxo Alcohols market segment. In addition, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Oxo plant at the Marl site, Performance Intermediates invited selected customers to a small celebration in the evening. Following a brief tour of the Oxo plant, there was an opportunity for the attendees to network and chat to each other. “The event was very well received by our customers,” reported Pietz. “We gained a lot of very positive feedback.”
