Evonik scores highly with sustainability again

The RobecoSAM rating agency has once again included Evonik in its prestigious yearbook of economic, social and ecological performance for 2017.
Like last year, Evonik is classified as a Sustainability Leader in the "Silver Class”. In 2016, Evonik was included in the renowned Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices for the first time. Evonik is also very well positioned in other important sustainability ratings and rankings. For example, the analysts at Sustainalytics recently confirmed Evonik as one of the five most sustainable companies in the chemical sector.

An evaluation by the Global Sustainable Investment Association shows the importance of a positive assessment of sustainability performance for companies on the capital markets: The global market for sustainable investment increased from US$13.3 trillion to US$21.4 trillion between 2012 and 2014. That is slightly more than one third of all professionally managed assets worldwide.

Since Evonik is a member of the MDAX index, it is increasingly on the radar of investors and analysts who base their investment decisions on ecological and social criteria as well as financial performance.
